Hypnotherapy for PTSD
“If you are affected by someone or something that happened, hypnosis therapy would allow you to relax introspectively with the way you used to be affected and that can change that emotion of sadness or rage and changing the emotion as a practical solution, changes the negative affection and when that changes , sadness and rage or other sentiments would change, the person would be relieved from having to avoid remembering or being affected by what they remember.”

How hypnotherapy can support PTSD recovery
Hypnotherapy is not a replacement for trauma-focused medical or psychological treatment, and it works best as one part of a broader care plan. What it can offer is a calm, focused state in which we work together on the nervous system responses connected to your experience, such as heightened startle reactions, racing thoughts, and difficulty relaxing. Sessions are built around your pace and your comfort, never rushed and never forced. What sessions look like
Your first session runs about 90 minutes. We begin with an unhurried conversation about what you have been through and what you want support with. From there, we work at a pace that respects your history, using relaxation and focused techniques designed to help you feel more grounded and less reactive over time. If you are already working with a therapist or physician for PTSD, I am glad to work alongside that care rather than in place of it.A note on medical care
PTSD is a recognized clinical condition, and hypnotherapy should be considered a complementary support, not a substitute for treatment from a licensed mental health professional. If you are not already working with a therapist or doctor, I encourage you to build that support alongside our sessions together.Frequently asked questions
Can hypnotherapy cure PTSD?
No single approach cures PTSD, and hypnotherapy is not presented here as a cure. It is a supportive technique that some people find helpful alongside professional mental health treatment for managing certain trauma-related responses.
Do I need to already be in therapy to work with you?
Not necessarily, but if you have not yet connected with a licensed mental health professional for PTSD, I strongly encourage doing so. Hypnotherapy sessions are designed to complement that care.
Will I have to talk about the traumatic event in detail?
No. We work at your pace. You are never required to relive or describe details you are not ready to share, and sessions are structured around your comfort throughout.
Are virtual sessions available for PTSD support?
Yes. Sessions are available both in my Fort Lauderdale office and virtually, in English or Spanish, with the same approach either way.
