Overcome Grief and Loss

How to overcome grief and loss of a loved one using hypnosis

As we advance in age, it becomes more common to have experienced the loss of a friend or loved one. You try to overcome the grief and loss by yourself, but it does not work. It is natural and normal to go through some or all of the stages of grief; which are denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. But sometimes getting “stuck” in one of the first four stages can affect the quality of your life. If you’ve tried to overcome your grief and can’t move forward, hypnotherapy may be the help you’ve been looking for.

Hypnotherapy with a licensed hypnotherapist can give you a one on one personalized consultation that can help you identify why you may feel stuck, or overcome with emotion. They may also be able to help you with techniques and positive suggestions for coping and acceptance. Your therapist wants the best for your mental health and well being, so cooperation is an important aspect for your success.

Grief may also happen to people in situations other than the death of a loved one. Grief can happen with loss of a personal relationship, divorce (including children of divorce), job loss, miscarriage, infertility, onset of chronic disease or illness, or drug addiction.

Guilt, anxiety, blame, anger, loneliness, loss of self esteem, loss of appetite, weight loss or gain, and insomnia are just a few of the feelings and physical symptoms associated with grief.

Although your family may be sympathetic to your feelings, a hypnotherapist can help you on a more advanced level to help you talk about your feelings without judgment or misunderstanding. A positive outlook can be just around the corner if you are open to hypnotherapy.
